Following a thirty-five year career in sales management, including many years owning his own sales agency, Thom has turned his attentions to the Internet. He now instructs (and learns from!) fellow baby boomers on how to take advantage of the incredible opportunities in online social marketing.
Millions in the baby boomer generation, many nearing retirement, now find themselves unemployed, searching for jobs at a time when more companies are laying-off than hiring. Thom has seen many friends and business associates lose their jobs after twenty, thirty or even forty years, and having no fall-back plan, no financial safety net.
Developing Your Personal Brand
One of the primary reasons people have nowhere to go after a lay-off or termination, is that they have never developed their own brand. They have relied on a company or factory to define them, usually by what they do, rather than who they are.
